Did you know that Frank Silvera was a Black actor of the 30’s?
Silvera was all about the rights of Black actors and writers and worked hard at supporting their work. Silvera died in a freak electrical accident at the age of fifty-five. Morgan Freeman later established and helped fund the Frank Silvera Writer’s Workshop Foundation.
