Elizabeth Taylor Greenfield

Did you know that Greenfield was the first Black concert singer? Greenfield was born in Natchez, Mississippi, and was given the name “ The Black Swan” because of her wide vocal range. Greenfield performed for Queen Victoria in 1853 and is the founder and organizer of The Black Swan Opera Troupe.
