To Whom Much Is Given
“Do good and care not to whom.” Italian Proverb
The law of attraction tells us that we must give more to the universe than we take. This is true in every aspect of our lives. If you are busy giving, then you have little time to worry about who is repaying. You cannot give or receive with a closed hand. Generosity is my first rule. You have to give. It does not matter who you give to, but you must give. It does not matter how much you give or what you give. You simply must give. Once the art of giving has been mastered, we can move on to the act of receiving. Some people are good at one or the other, but rarely are we good at both. I am not good at receiving. I love to give, but it is hard to accept things, from compliments to gifts. I have issues with receiving. The law of attraction says we must become open and acceptable to both. Without them, both neither works, if you are not able to give then that breaks the law. So, the same goes for receiving. In both instances, we must be mindful. Have you ever heard the term that no good deed goes unpunished? There is an equal an opposite reaction to every action. I have said, and I have heard people say, “This is why I don’t do things for other people.” I laugh every time I say it because I know it means that I have to do that again. I failed the test. I was keeping score. If I weren’t keeping score, then it would not matter what it took to get done whatever I said I was going to do for someone.
We are all born with the instinct to do good. Some of those instincts have been untrained, but we still feel it in our gut. We know when something is right or wrong, good or bad. All we have to do is train our minds to move on the good and leave the bad or the neutral behind. We can change the world one person at a time. It all begins with you.
