Loving My Blog!

March 13, 2016

WOW!!  It has been a journey.  I am so glad and proud to be up and running.  I have been dreaming of the day that I would have my own platform and today is the day.

About ten years ago I wrote positivity emails that I would send out every week.  I loved doing that.  I had a great following.  The emails that I would get back made it worth the time and commitment that it took for me to put the writings together.  I decided to step back from that due to personal reasons and I haven’t done anything like it in the last ten years.  Getting back to the best part of me has been a challenge.  I have raised five children.  I have cultivated a marriage spanning more than twenty years and I have earned degrees.  That was all good stuff, but the best of me is what happens when I write.

I have been blessed with a gift and I would like to share it with the world.  I can tell you that every sentence will not be perfect.  Every noun and verb may not agree and every period or comma may not be in the right place.  What I promise to you as my readers though, is that every word will come from my heart.  Every post will be the truth as I see it.  I hope that we remember that hindsight is 20/20 and sometimes my view will not be yours and that is ok too.  We are grown folks and we can agree to disagree.  Some posts will allow for comments and some will not.

What you will find here at this site are blogs about writing, books, movies, television shows, plays and short stories.  You will find a section on the site called, “Assholes”, this is my opinion piece.  I will use this section as my soapbox.  I will stand on it and give my opinion on any and everything.  Sometimes it may have to do with writing and sometimes it wont.

I am also excited to tell you that my book will be published in 2016.  I am working diligently on the process of getting everything finalized.  It has been a lifetime coming, but it was worth every minute.

I hope that you will follow my blog and share it with your friends.

I have had some time to think about what it is that I want to write and if the words will have consequences. I don’t know that I am worried about any of the consequences as I am more concerned with ha

I have been researching a project that I am working on, and in looking over documents and watching interviews, it astounds me to hear that a white person during slavery had never seen a black person.
