In Memory of Doug Banks

In Chicago we are mourning the death of one of our beloved radio personalities, Doug Banks.

I remember growing up listening to Mr. Banks on the radio with Tom Joyner in the beginning and then on his own syndicated show.  Those were great times.  People sometimes say that your life is set to music. Mine truly was.  I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Banks, but it didn’t matter. I invited him into my home for years and it was as though we were good friends.

Doug Banks, you will be greatly missed.  Thank you for setting my life to music and for always putting a smile on my face.

Rest well.
