I Love Your Smile

People, for whatever reason at first think that I am mean.  In all actuality I am probably one of the kindest people that you will ever meet.  Life has hardened my outer shell and almost petrified my inner one.  I decided one day that it really didn’t have to be like that.  If I let my past become my present, then the past wins.  People have choices, so to think that you cannot change is not true.  I smile at people as a way to say hello.  I smile at people when they are being difficult.  I smile at people to keep from cussing them out.  I give them the gift of another experience without them realizing how close to a natural disaster they really are.  I smile because it changes how I sound and how I look, and how I feel.  I smile because I have a choice. Choose who you will be and not who others expect you to be.
